Klonopin

Klonopin (clonazepam) is a benzodiazepine medicine specially intended for the treatment of anxiety, seizure disorders and panic disorders. If you have any of the following medical conditions, your health care provider may need to adjust your dose: asthma, kidney or liver disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder, glaucoma, history of depression, emphysema, suicidal thoughts, bronchitis, or addiction to drugs or alcohol. Taking Klonopin is associated with serious and mild side effects. Serious side effects, such as hoarseness, swelling of the eyes, face, lips, tongue, or throat, hives, rash, and difficulty breathing or swallowing, are unlikely but still possible. Mild side effects are a lot more common and include the following ones: increased saliva, dizziness, changes in sex drive, drowsiness, joint pain, unsteadiness, problems with coordination, blurred vision, and frequent urination. Make sure to mention any other medications you are currently using, as interactions with Klonopin are possible. The following medications are especially important to mention: antidepressants, antifungal medications, MAO inhibitors, medicines to treat psychiatric disorders, propantheline, or barbiturates.
